Working Out

As human beings we have many dimensions – physical, mental and spiritual.  Many of us make it a point to stay physically healthy by vigorously working out, visiting the doctor regularly, going for a simple walk or swim, etc.

And we probably all get mental exercise throughout every day by reading and studying new things at school, work or home.

And yet, both our bodies and often our minds fail us in the end.

So are we getting a good enough “spiritual workout”?  Are we exercising those “soul muscles”…the only ones that actually count in the end?

“Growing by God’s Spirit”

Jesus was a great teacher and a big part of his life was instructing his followers about God and His plan for us on earth.

Similarly, a big part of the life of UMCW is to help those in our community to “grow by God’s spirit.” We support this mission through a variety of educational opportunities for both youth and adults alike.
