2011 Westford Relay For Life was a great evening of community

What is Relay For Life?

  • The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a global, life-changing event that gives everyone a chance to Celebrate, Remember and Fight Back.

  • The event raises money to fight the battle against cancer and help find a cure. (It's also a great time for fellowship!)

  • At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local school, park, or other venue and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.

  • Each year, more than 3.5 million people in 5,000 communities in the U.S., along with additional communities in 19 other countries, gather to take part in this global phenomenon and raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer.

Our Goal for 2011?

  • Was to raise $1,000 or more, and we did it! With your generous donations, The Methodist Marchers for a Cure raised $1,628.  (The total raised for the Westford event was $115,643!)
  • Hope you'll join us next year in creating a world with more birthdays!
